Creative & Practical | Ceramic Tableware by Anisul Haque

Ceramic Artist Md. Anisul Haque believes that every creative practical object has an aesthetic appearance, and ceramic tableware is one of those objects. Therefore, he has tried to give an aesthetic touch to the ceramic tableware he has made himself.

Anisul Haque

When he was in China, pursuing higher studies in ceramic, Anisul Haque got an in-depth knowledge of the ceramic used in the daily life of China, which has inspired him to create practical ceramic as well as ceramic sculpture. As tea is one of the most popular beverages in China, teapots are an integral part of the daily life of the Chinese people. He is trying to make a new type of teapot by adding a Bangladeshi motif design with a traditional Chinese form. The studio ceramic he has made is unique in look and the creativity of the glaze. Anisul uses a gas kiln for burning the ceramic and in some cases, he uses a wood kiln. The burning wood kiln gives the ceramic an extraordinary effect which reveals the aesthetic rhythm.

Anisul Haque believes that there is a developing tendency that Bangladeshi studio ceramics will be playing a more important role in the social life of Bangladeshis in the contemporary situation. Moreover, to improve the experience of studio ceramics does not mean just building up our happiness and understanding of artworks, for art is not just a source of inner pleasure, art is also an effective way of giving love and beauty to the social activities of everyday life.
