Heaven on a Plate

Paws and Pours

In the bustling area of Dhanmondi, here’s the cute Capawcino Cat Cafe, which is an amazing place for cat lovers! A cute and nice place painted in between the colors of cyan and ocean green, filled with cat-themed decor, and beautiful lights. And, the main attraction? Yes, all those cute little furry friends! It’s not just a cafe, it’s also home to cats. So,

It’s a little different from those usual hangout spots, where cats and coffee come together to create a unique and cute atmosphere.

The story of Capawcino begins with Rahat Rahman and some of his friends who really love cats. His idea was inspired by the cat cafe in Japan. He converted his garage into a cafe where people could enjoy food with cats despite initial challenges. As Capawcino gained popularity, the COVID-19 pandemic forced a temporary halt, but Rahat persisted. With support from his brother, he relocated Capawcino to Dhanmondi, ensuring its continuation and growth.

The cafe exudes a welcoming vibe, with its adorable paw-shaped welcome sign and warm lighting that highlights the cute decor. The walls are painted in a peaceful color that mixes cyan and ocean green, giving customers a calming feeling when they look around. They have an intriguing lighting setup, complete with creative patterns that add a unique touch to the ambiance.

Originally starting with a snack-focused menu, the cafe evolved over time, expanding its offerings to include a variety of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. This shift came with added costs, but it allowed the cafe to fully realize its culinary concept, providing customers with a more diverse and satisfying dining experience. The food is fantastic, and judging by the absence of any negative reviews, it’s clear that all customers have thoroughly enjoyed their experience so far.

Instead of cramming as many cats as possible into the cafe, they kept it small so each cat would have plenty of space to play and relax.

So, the cafe doesn’t accommodate more than 20 cats, and there are a total of 17 cats there right now. The cost for access to the cat zone is 200 TK per hour, and they allow a maximum of 20 people there at a time. However, if the cat zone is empty, they allow people to stay for additional time.

And if someone happens to fall in love with one of the cats, he can even adopt it! But they want to make sure that anyone who adopts a cat from Capawcino will take good care of it and keep in touch with updates about how it’s doing. The procedure for adoption involves filling out a form and providing them with a National Identification (NID) card.

So, the Cafe isn’t just a place to grab a cup of coffee—it’s a place to escape from the stresses of everyday life and hang out with some furry friends. Whether someone is a cat lover, a coffee lover, hungry to have some delicious food or just looking for a cute and cozy spot to relax, Capawcino Cat Cafe would be a purr-fect spot!
