This riverine land used to contain a large number of forests and water bodies. With numerous domestic and wild species gone or barely living in hostile conditions, there is still animal life in Dhaka that most of the city seem to be quite unaware of or have an estranged relationship with. The often-felt acute nostalgia of our coexistence with nature has been reimagined with mythological elements, folklore and rituals. Present existence and necessity of a broader biodiversity has been narrated by the means of metaphoric storytelling. As residents of this city, having the limitation of space, synonymous with the limitation of green in nature, the artists intended to produce ‘miniaturesque‘ body of works.

Collaborator artists to this project are – Afroza Hossain Sara, Afsana Haque Ayaan, Anannya Mehpar Azad, Arzina Ahasan, Auntora Mehrukh Azad, Joyshree Chakma, Mreethmandir Gunjan Kumar Roy, Mukta Mareeam Khan, Nusrat Jahan Titly, Rakibul Anwar, Sarah Jabin, Shaily Shrabonti & Tania Rahman Roshney.

Hence along with a couple of hand drawn Animation, 2 new media Sculptures, 1 Installation Art and several multidisciplinary Painting projects, 24 artworks can be found exploring the shared journey of 14 emerging Bangladeshi artists.
