As a young nation, Bangladesh is thriving in many sectors where physical development playing a key role defining the scenario of architectural endeavour.
The rapid urbanization and immense boom in construction sector offers a broader platform for developing a sensible built environment for the citizens. The relentless effort and experiments of the long time practitioners along with the young professionals is creating an excellent gamut for developing a comprehensive outcome. In the paradigm of World Architecture, our achievement has already been noticed and I am hopeful that soon we will create our own mark.
- What according to your is the future of architecture in Bangladesh?
The ongoing process of understanding the contextuality and moreover addressing the value of society and people strongly signals a potential nourishment for the practice of architecture in Bangladesh. But it lacks a clear indication for attaining the value of architecture. The eagerness to promote the national pride and to build appropriately for us on this very soil is an utmost need to elevate the future of architecture.
- A piece of advice for young architects who want to build a career in the field
The field of Architecture of a young nation like Bangladesh always aspires the fragrance of young minds. Soon after the birth, the nation noticed a moderate pace of developments in the field of architecture, whereas in the last two decades a significant achievement has been made to reshape the society.
The world is now so global that we can’t be alone. The ever changing scenario of digital arena and a mammoth advancement of technological aspects demands fresh and creative ideas. It is high time for the young professional to pick up the baton and lead us to the race, where patience and self-esteem will put their effort into a success.
