In a lively celebration of creativity, the “ART IS EVERYWHERE” Live Art Tour- held at the Faculty of Fine Art in the University of Dhaka, and Bengal Foundation, supported by Studio ash and presented by MAYA, featured so many great activities. This five-day festival cut across borders and barriers, uniting local and global artistic communities in a harmonious blend of cultural exchange and expression. From interesting performances to enriching workshops, the event served as a demonstration of the transformative power of art in promoting connections, understanding, and belonging in an interconnected world.
It was a vibrant celebration of creativity that took place from March 5 to 9, 2024, in Dhaka and its surrounding areas. This festival aimed to blend Bangladeshi art with the global artistic community while paying homage to the rich culture of the nation. Curated by Cai Qing, Efat Razowana Reya from Bangladesh under the direction of Lutfa Mahmuda.
Throughout the event, attendees were treated to a diverse array of performances, workshops, and exhibitions showcasing the talents of artists from various backgrounds. Bangladeshi artists like Abu Naser Robi, Afsana Sharmin Zhumpa, Sajid Mahmud, Sanjay Chakraborty, and many more, alongside international talents such as Alan Schacher (Australia), Daisuke Takeya (Japan/CA), Gao Zhiyan (China), Joseph Ka (Russia/Finland), Yujun Ye (Taiwan), and numerous others, showcased their remarkable works.
Also, the festival served as a platform for showcasing Bangladesh’s vibrant cultural heritage to the world.
